Early in the certification course, I gained an awareness of certain patterns that I had been unaware of prior to the program. I gave 100% and pushed through various barriers that I’d created in my life that were not serving me well. The bonus was that I lost weight (8-10 pounds during the 10-day program) even though I wasn’t dieting. As I dealt with very personal beliefs and perceptions I had about “burden” in my life, and stopped hiding behind excuses, I started to lose excess weight gain. Today it seems so many women are dealing with hormonal dysfunction of one form or another. For me personally, this work has reduced the stress and adrenal overload I was experiencing in my life. It has been a life-giving, simple, and sustainable process that I hope to share with others in a meaningful way. “Change a belief, change your life!”
Professionally, I was able to realize my true purpose in life and to embrace my gifts with more confidence. I previously completed a Master of Arts in Leadership & Training, but I didn’t know what the next step was for me. I walked away from the coaching certification with several tools to use in my own life and in my role as a coach supporting others.
I am also extremely grateful for the dialogue techniques that we learned because I was able to reach a new level of communication and intimacy with my husband. I was also successful in resolving issues I had as a mom. Despite my best efforts, I previously had a constant feeling that I was failing my 3 year old son who has sensory integration challenges.
Since completing the certification, my son’s behavior and well-being has improved dramatically. I believe 90% of the changes are due to a shift in my own perceptions. A new level of awareness has made it easier for me to thrive in my role as a parent. The other 10% improvement has come from various behavior modification techniques that are recommended for raising “sensory smart” children.
Overall, I gained a tremendous level of understanding and gave meaning to deeply troubling issues in my life. Previously, I had so much to be grateful for in my life, and yet I kept returning to a feeling of being deeply unsatisfied in my day-to-day life. I worked with instructors one-on-one for many, many hours in a way that helped me to identify what was going on for me. I gained solid insight and used valuable tools to create a personal plan of action for myself – simple choices that yield tangible and immediate results – that I can also use to support others.
Thank you to all the coaches and staff for their dedication and attention in helping me to bring about sustainable change in my life.
